Herbert Silverstein is not only a dedicated physician, researcher, professor and philanthropist - he is also an accomplished musician. Fascinated by the complicated rhythms of the jazz idiom, Dr. Silverstein has been challenged to perform the music he so enjoyed while growing up. Not only has he learned to interpret the jazz classics, he has succeeded in composing many exciting jazz pieces. He has just completed the recording of his eighth jazz CD. All proceeds from his recordings benefit the Ear Research Foundation helping to bring the gift of sound to those faced with living in silence.
Sometimes you give a gift solely for the joy of giving, you do it "Just Because". Nine of ten of the songs on this special recording were gifts of inspiration.
