Southpaw Jones has been writing and performing since shortly after receiving and adapting his uncle''s right-handed acoustic guitar for Christmas,1993.

He has fronted such bands as Apple Spider, The Spectacles, and The Southpaw Jones Aggregate in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Starter Kit is his first full-studio release, and the songs contained therein are fully-realized musical visions as they were meant to be heard.

The style and tone vary throughout the record, but the distinct touch of young Southpaw is a constant.
