This comment still best represents what Street Temple is and always will be about. We are a group of individuals who came together, all from completely different musical and cultural backgrounds, to create something new and different in a sea of run-of-the-mill "underground" music.

We spent a total of 5 years formulating and developing our approaches, styles, & skills. During that time we wrote, practiced, and performed over 30 songs. We spent long hours making mixtapes, freestyling, and just vibing. Throughout that time we began to make home recordings of our songs and distributed them hand to hand on various comps, singles, and demos.

Eventually, as time passed and we gained access to better equipment and recording techniques we decided it was time to make an official offering to the public, thus the
Asphalt Prophets e.p. was born. After 6 months worth of studio sessions, vocals, tracking, and mixing had been completed the e.p. was done and ready to serve up to the unexpecting masses. And so now you have before you an anthology of sorts, of Street Temple''s growth.

These songs are those that we felt best represented what we have been trying to accomplish for all these years. And on top of all that ITS DOPE!!! We poured our blood sweat and tears into this project and you can hear it.
