Born and raised in Baltimore, MD Shelby Jade was voted 2007''s "Most Promising Newbie" at the Poetry for the People Awards. A member of RPS (Rebellious Poets Society) and the Baltimore Black Arts, she was featured on "The Art of Conversation Vol 1", as well as E the Poet Emcee''s "8 Million Stories" and "Black Supreme Emcee", prior to the release of this, her freshman project.
