Tamara Madison Shaw was the Grand Prize Winner 2002 of the First Literary Recording Contest, sponsored by Manzanita Quarterly and AUTHENTIC VOICEwork Records.

Grand Prize was awarded to Tamara Madison Shaw. Tamara is an award winning poet and a "melodic word vocalist" who has toured most recently in Europe. Her works have appeared in numerous publications, and she has received support from the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as the Rockefeller and Warhol Foundations. Premonition/Blue Note Records will release a new album Tamara performs on in Spring 2002 as a featured vocalist in French and English with JUBA Collective.
