Mechanism (Chris Asher) is an explosive producer hailing from the city of Melbourne, Australia, who meshes elements of classical, metal and experimental styles of music to create his own brand of psytrance.

After enjoying success as a founding member and guitarist of alternative band ''Soulaplexus'' Chris Asher (aka Mechanism) continued his popularity by joining metal band ''Inflikt'' and proving his skill with turntables at venues across Melbourne. Becoming prolific with different instruments and various sounds over the last 12 years he has now found a home for his extensive musical background and experimental design in trance.

Drawing from influences such as ''Rinkadink''(for his sampling), ''Fatali'' (for his smooth atmosphere) and ''Infected Mushroom'' (for there unusual melodies), Mechanism began writing his own progressive style of psytrance tracks that have now become chart toppers and live crowd favorites including "Amplitude" and "Another World".
