Songwriter Bret Martin came to Zone Recording in Cotati, California, with a song called "When Santa Claus Met Jesus". Studio owner Blair Hardman collaborated on the song and they began to look for the perfect vocalist.

Earlier that year, Santa Rosa singer Sara Warne''s 4 year old son, Brian, was struck with Burkitts Lymphoma, a rare form of cancer, and began 9 months of intensive treatment at UCSF/Stanford. After he was declared in remission Sara came to Zone looking for a project on which she could release her feelings, and express her gratitude for her son''s health. The result is "When Santa Claus Met Jesus", as well as two subsequent albums

Her stirring rendition of the song has moved many to tears and to laughter and is one of the most requested songs every Holiday Season.
