The Ancho-Cheatham Project blends sometime opposing styles of music into a unique sound. Julius Ancho on keys and Michael Cheatham on guitars have played in numerous club band and original music projects through the years playing blues, latin, top 40 covers, smooth jazz, jazz rock fusion, original rock, classic rock and even country rock. It seems that these all play a great influence in what they have created here. "In The Groove" is five songs that lean toward the Smooth Jazz side with a somewhat understated jazzy/bluesy guitar and great laid back and "In Your Face" keyboard work.

Most of this work was recorded and produced on the spot, in the studio, with Julius and Michael playing all the instruments. Chris Cimpson is the guest bassist on " Smooth Move".
