Dave Howard came on the Rhode Island music scene in the mid ''70s, singing barroom country, blues, and folk. His (whiskey-soaked) voice is as recognizable as any Rhode Island landmark. With “I Tried To Tell You” Dave Howard makes his solo recording debut. This first solo record follows years of barrooms and dancehalls with blues and roots band The Highrollers and Young Neil and the Vipers.
