13.7 billion years ago it all started with the Big Bang. Some time after that the universe began expanding at an ever increasing rate. The agent believed to be responsible for this expansion is called Dark Energy. Though it is the subject of much study, very little is known about it. Only one thing is certain, if it had a soundtrack, it would be Interstellar Pianos.

Interstellar Pianos uses acoustic piano as its basic foundation. Then multiple synth tracks are added. Throw in some clever editing and plenty of distortion and the result is an intense, spacey, psychedelic haze.

Guest artists on Interstellar Pianos are Tad Margelli(oboe on track 5) and Kyle Bowman(sax on track 8). Tad received his Doctorate in oboe performance from the University of Washington and currently plays oboe and English horn for the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orshestra. Kyle plays sax for the Sonic Funk Orchestra.
